We are all aware of the sad state of local politics. In most cases, only those who have money are elected into office. Politicians usually pay voters to elect them and they spend millions to get elected. In effect, they get more millions once elected. It's a vicious cycle of vote-buying and corruption and the country has suffered much because of this rotten system.
Its about time that something is done in order to remedy this sad situation. And consecrating the country to the Sacred heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a very good beginning. What the country needs is conversion which can only happen with the grace of the Two Hearts. Our people need to be converted so that they will not accept bribes from politicians and vote only those who are truly deserving and who will honestly serve our nation.
May our celebration this year bring about the necessary conversion for our people so that our beloved country could move forward without graft and corruption that has paralyzed our country for decades.
